Federal Courts and U.S. District Courts are the same courts. These courts have jurisdiction over federal offenses and offenses that cover more than
one state, such as drug smuggling, customs violations, interstate firearms violations, ect. It is conceivable that a person that is not a career criminal could have NO RECORD in a state court but
have a record in a U.S. District Court. This should be considered when ordering criminal checks.
When ordering simply state the city(s), county(s) and U.S. District Court in which you are interested. Our research department will research in the appropriate U.S. District Court. U.S. District Courts normally have jurisdiction over the county in which they reside and many
of the surrounding counties. U.S. District Court Research will cover all counties within the jurisdiction of the court. Some U.S. District Courts charge extra for detailed records. If incurred, those costs will be added to our advertised cost.
Most U.S. District Court Research goes back 7-years, however you may request additional years to be searched at $3.00 per year.
Because many people have the same name, a Date of Birth is required in order to receive the best results possible, however if you do not have the person's DOB it can be obtained for $25.00.
